Tips for your side yard makeover
- Don’t spend a lot of money pouring additional concrete there. If you already have it, bonus! Use climbers and rocks to fill the area. Bunnings has cheap pavers in different colors and shapes. Large amounts of grass usually don’t grow because it’s a narrow space, so throw in a few wheelbarrows full of rocks to fill it.

- If you want something against the fence line, I would probably recommend a vine, like a jasmine. Bamboo looks beautiful, but it grows very fast and sheds leaves from time to time, so it will be a cleaning job. Yukkas are also tough, but they turn into monsters and will be hard to take down once you’ve had enough of them.
